Fireworks
Posted by scottjarvie on July 5, 2007
Yesterday (4th of July) I took pictures at the stadium of fire.
I was able to bring in my tripod and set it up (barely) right in front of me (not a lot of room) and snap some pretty cool pictures.
If you want to take pictures of fireworks it’s best to zoom in and get parts and be more creative or abstract. You also want to stick to longer exposures so that you get the full effect of the fireworks. But I didn’t get anything that good with exposures above 4 seconds. It seems 3 seconds to about 1/2 would be about right (that’s just a guess from what I remember… no certain research and conclusions)
So basically good fireworks shots should be done with a tripod.
